In 2018 Lucy Graham and Mathilde Gordon of Passage Adventures spent three months kayaking the 2042km of the Inside Passage, from Alaska to Vancouver Island. They did the entire journey single-use plastic free and raised over $20,000 for the Living Oceans Society and the Tangaroa Blue Foundation. In 2020, as part of their goal to raise awareness of marine plastic pollution and promote women in adventure, they also released Changing Tides a documentary of their journey, currently on tour with the Ocean Film Festival 2021!

This week Lucy and Mathilde joined Chelsea to chat about what it was like completing this journey, including a near miss with a boat, and some close encounters with cute, scary and/or pervy wildlife, as well as the benefits of reducing your single-use plastic.
